Blake Koch at Indianapolis Motor Speedway… Blake Koch has three previous starts in the NASCAR XFINITY Series (NXS) at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (IMS). His best start (17th) and finish (15th) at the track came in last year’s race. In that event, Koch fought the handling the car at the beginning of the race, but found his groove to capture a career-best finish at the track.
Sounding Off – Blake Koch… “There’s nothing like Indy. There’s so much history there and it’s unlike any other racetrack. We got to test the new rules package and I’m really excited to see how it plays out. I anticipate close racing, but not pack-racing. I think we will be bumper-to-bumper the entire race, so it should be really exciting for the fans.”
2017 Season… Koch is currently 11th in the NXS Championship standings after 17 races. He has recorded one pole position, four top-10 starts, one top-10 finish and seven top-15 finishes. The Kaulig Racing driver has led 29 laps so far in 2017. Last week at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Koch earned a 13th-place finish after starting 14th.
Tune-In… The 100-lap NXS Lilly Diabetes 250 from IMS will be televised live Saturday, July 22nd, 2017 at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN and will be broadcasted live on the IMS Radio Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio channel 90.
