In 2016, Blake Koch and the rest of the team at LeafFilter Racing announced the LeafFilter Racing/Blake Koch Graduate Scholarship. The $500 scholarship was created for graduate students that will be enrolled in a graduate degree program in the fall of 2017. Applicants were asked to write an essay that discusses a quality that they possess that separates them from others or their role when they are part of a team.
After evaluating each essay for creativity and original content, LeafFilter Racing and Blake Koch are pleased to award the 2017 LeafFilter Racing/Blake Koch Scholarship to Briana Brown. Briana will be pursuing her Masters in Educational Psychology, Cognition, and Creativity at Texas A&M University.
With her Masters of Education, she plans to improve her ability to think like a scientist and further educate her students to do the same. She is a passionate about the STEM field and excited about helping youth learn how to think and apply their knowledge to solve problems. Briana’s essay made it clear that she is a curious and determined individual with a bright future ahead.
Congratulations, Briana! Stay tuned for the next LeafFilter Racing/Blake Koch Scholarship!
