Haley Running Special Braun Family Paint Scheme at Home Track

Justin Haley Notes:
  • First Start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS)
  • Only Current NXS Driver to Finish in the Top-10 at all 1.5 Mile Tracks in 2019
  • The special paint scheme Justin will run at IMS pays tribute to his grandfather’s dragster he ran for a long time. The paint scheme continued to be run by Justin’s uncle (Drew Braun) on his quarter midgets throughout the years. The scheme was close to his family for a long time, and Kaulig Racing feels that his home track of IMS is the perfect place to pay tribute to the Braun Family.

Kaulig Racing Notes:
  • Best Start at Indianapolis Motor Speedway: 13th (2018)
  • Best Finish at Indianapolis Motor Speedway: 8th (2018)

Quotes:
“This week is a super special one for me. We’re going to Indianapolis Motor Speedway – my hometown race! I grew up watching all the races at the Brickyard, and I am really fortunate to finally be able to make my first start at the speedway. This weekend I have a really cool, special paint scheme. I am throwing it back to a family paint scheme that my uncles and my grandfather had on their race cars. This is a surprise paint scheme for my family! They didn’t know anything about this. I kept it in the woodworks and brought it to Chris Rice a few months back and said ‘Hey, we should do this for Darlington!’ and he said we should do it at Indy for my hometown race. I’m really thankful that LeafFilter (Gutter Protection), FOE, Kaulig Companies, and Matt Kaulig, the owner, allowed me to do this and put my personal touch on one race this weekend. I am really excited to get on track this weekend and hopefully bring home a win for this super special paint scheme.”
